Lupe Fiasco's first words in "Sunshine" ("Fresh to def she is/From her steps to the set she is") always come to mind when I look at this ill jacket from Los Angeles-based streetwear line Freshjive. Can't you just picture Lupe skating next to a girl rocking this jacket? (No sharing 'cause he told us in "Kick, Push" that his shawty has her very own board! ha!) Kind of reminds me of Ciara's steez in the "Oh" video with a hint of Teyana Taylor's Tokyo, BAPE-influenced vibe.
Yessir, this is a funky and practical jacket that will guarantee all eyes on you. It's 100% cotton, so it's comfortable and durable and, for those who love versatility, here's another draw: you can actually detach the hood and turn it into a dressier blazer-style jacket (you can even pop your collar Three 6 Mafia style). The print on the the French Military jacket is phenomenal -- it's not quite camo (though it does have that rugged, fatigue-like feel), but rather it's this intricate pattern made by interwoven shapes in grays and blues. And for another cool effect, there are black lines scattered throughout (almost like jagged streaks), giving the jacket an even more urban, cement jungle feel. Plus, you get four pockets: two by your waist and two on your chest (perfect to keep all your, uhm, stashes).
