As summer approaches, it's time to shelve those frosty pink and earthy brown enamels in favor of more intense hues, and celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippman is offering two new hot-to-death options: "Call Me Irresistible" and "It's Raining Men." Side note: aren't these slightly naughty names perfect for the sexiest of seasons?
A deep violet, "Call Me Irresponsible" was inspired by the ethereal, watercolor-esque floral dresses seen in Diane Von Furstenberg's Spring/Summer 2009 collection and the vivid, garden party-ready, dresses in Badgley Mischka's Spring/Summer 2009 line. "It's Raining Men," meanwhile, is the ultimate temptress color, a sizzling red hue that's as warm and sultry as the summertime weather.
So, as you start dreaming about the days when you'll be laying on the beach, sipping on a frozen drink, make the picture a bit more complete by imagining these polishes on your fingernails.
