My heart may belong to Hello Kitty, but I have to admit that, when it comes to couture, it's a sassy bunny named Fifi Lapin that's the cat's meow. The leisure-loving hare-ess has a closet any female would covet — she's been spotted wearing Eley Kishimoto dresses on dates, Louis Vuitton shades in Paris, head-to-toe ensembles straight off the Erin Fetherston and Missoni runway shows, and of course, tons of Luella Bartley (who she fancies above all). When it comes to present-day fashion muses, she pretty much outshines all her human counterparts (yes, even my idols Kate Moss and Posh Spice). Adoring Fifi, then, should pretty much be an innate phenomenon for fashion hounds.
Which is why I wasn't surprised when 90210 actress Jessica Lowndes expressed her admiration for the fabulous Fifi by rocking this "J'Adore Fifi" T-shirt by DOE. Clearly, Fifi felt like giving her Luella Bartley sweetheart sweater and rosette-covered skirt a whimsical, masquerade-ish edge with her black mask (perhaps a wink to Lady Gaga) and chic capelet. Yes, this is yet another Fifi outfit I wish I owned!
Notice how the T-shirt's white backdrop works so well with the back stripes, making the Fifi character seem like a sketch that has come alive (which is precisely what the artist who invented the lovely Fifi has managed to accomplish over years of careful story development, co-branding, and more).
