Thirty years after the F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter Plane first took flight, Rem D. Koolhaas and Galahad Clark of the architecturally influenced footwear brand United Nude are paying homage to the military aircraft via the new United Nude Stealth Bag (pictured above).
Available in light brown, pale blue, black, white, the modern handbag features four panels along the front that are positioned at a slant and join together at the center, creating a pyramid-like shape, so that the center point of the bag's façade serves as the apex while the remaining surface area slopes down smoothly and evenly. This unique construction mirrors the type of angular lines and "V" shapes that made the F-117 aircraft so distinct from a design perspective since, after all, the aircraft relied on slanted panels to reflect hostile radars into beam signals, thereby allowing military personnel to literally fly under the radar an complete covert military operations. This same construction is repeated along the back of the bag an the narrow sides for a modular effect. Leather shoulder straps and a leather-trimmed zippered top finish off the ultra sleek design.
